Joseph Kulesza

PARK CITY — Joseph Kulesza, 85, of Park City died at 12:45 a.m. Oct. 1, 1999, at a Glasgow nursing home.The Shelburn, Ind., native was a retired park superintendent at Mammoth Cave National Park, served as chief ranger at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, district ranger at Great Smoky Mountains National Park and park superintendent at Cumberland Gap National Historic Park, was a past board member of Caveland Sanitation Authority and began his career with Civilian Conservation Corp. He was a son of the late Paul Kulesza and Mary Kulesza.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Patton Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.Survivors include his wife, Jewell Read Kulesza; a daughter, Mary Jo Veluzat of Cave City; two sisters, Josephine Bass of Covina, Calif., and Catherine Volpert of Atlanta; and two brothers, Stanley Kulesza of Terre Haute, Ind., and John Kulesza of Defiance, Ohio.
