Bowling Green’s cable provider sold

New York-based Insight Communications announced Friday that the company had acquired a 50-percent share of InterMedia Capital Partners, a cable television provider with 25,000 subscribers in Warren County.For now, InterMedia says the change will mean increased services for customers without a noticeably larger monthly bill.Were very much interested in working with Insight, InterMedia General Manager Bill Helmbold said. We wont just offer cable anymore; well be able to offer digital TV, high-speed Internet services, and possibly phone service in the future.We dont expect any change in rates in the near future, Helmbold said.InterMedia will be jointly owned by Insight and AT&T BIS. The deal will make Insight the eighth-largest cable provider in the United States.
