Logan Aluminum has announced the appointment of Steven Clarke as president/CEO and Jason Goodman as plant manager, effective Oct. 1.
Clarke and Goodman follow current president/CEO Mike Buckentin and plant manager Paul Banks, who both have retirement plans.
Clarke, who joined Logan Aluminum in July as president designate, will oversee all aspects of Logan Aluminum’s market leading business as the largest single can sheet facility in North America.
Prior to Logan, he spent the majority of his 30-year career at Novelis Inc., one of the joint venture owners of Logan Aluminum.
Clarke most recently served as the Novelis vice president of operations excellence, based in Zurich, Switzerland. During his time at Novelis, Clarke held positions of increasing responsibility across supply chain, safety, engineering and general management. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in manufacturing engineering from the University of Wolverhampton (UK) and a post graduate diploma in engineering business management from the University of Warwick (UK).
As plant manager, Goodman will lead Logan Aluminum’s operational business units.
Goodman started as an operating technician in the hot mill at Logan Aluminum. Through an on-the job technical training program, he became a maintenance technician. He later obtained his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Western Kentucky University while working full time. He served in both operational and engineering leader roles before being promoted to business unit manager. Most recently, Goodman has been the manufacturing manager for cold mills and finishing.
