Ola Halcomb

VIPER Ola Halcomb, 83, of Bowling Green died Oct. 2, 1999, at a Bowling Green nursing home. The Perry County native was a homemaker, a former U.S. Postal Service employee and a Baptist. She was a daughter of the late Grant Asher and Laura Cornett Asher. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brashear Funeral Home with burial in Halcomb Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include four sons, Dexter Halcomb, Ronald Halcomb and Donald Halcomb, all of Bowling Green, and Roger Halcomb of London; two daughters, Charlene Halcomb of Hazard and Sybil Brown Pelham of New Hampshire; four sisters, Bell Roberts, Zelphia Halcomb and Nora Adams, all of Hazard, and Elsie Johnson of Louisville; a brother, Kermit Asher of Hazard; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
